For The Times They are a changin’
The team at Screen fix has thoroughly enjoyed working out of the repair shop it Ashgrove, we have met some amazing people and can happily say we have turned many frowns upside down by bringing many iPhone and galaxy devices back to life! Our amazing customers have been kindly referencing our service, as a result; we no longer have the capacity to fulfill a large number of these repairs – obviously we don’t like that! For the last 3 months we have been throwing ideas around as to where we go next, do we find new real-estate in the city our do we set up shop in a mall ect ect. These options both turned out rather expensive, to do so we would no longer be able to offer the low priced/high quality service that we do – we don’t want that!
Mobile Launch
After much debate we decided to come up with a more revolutionary approach, we are pleased to announce that as of the 13th of April 2015, Screen Fixed is shaking things up by turning the existing business model on its head, we’re going mobile! To elaborate, we will be driving across the city from customer to customer repairing iPhone and Galaxy devices, we like to think of it like pizza deliveries, though instead of delivering pizza we deliver a new screen to a customer’s broken device. We decided to go for the typical demand dispatch model because it solves a real problem with convenience. We know just how convenient this new approach is for our customers. Instead of having to drive to our repair shop in Ashgrove, wait around for 30 minutes well we repair there device, then drive home. (lets be honest this can be a 2 hour process) We go to the customers home, office or we can even meet them at their local café. After countless hours of trial and error, I can happily say that I think we have got it right! To give you an example: If a customer calls at 3:00PM, we can dispatch a technician within 10 minutes, travel to the customer (another 10 -20 minutes) and then repair the device within 30 minutes. This is a highly desirable outcome for a busy Queenslander!
No Change to Pricing
You would expect when we change the business model and take a more customer orientated service position like this it would also lead to a price increase. I am happy to say that all prices will stay the same, and all repairs will still come with a free 2 year warranty. We look at it like this; the repair cars are the office, this means the only real overheads are the typical operational costs that are associated with a car. It helps that it’s a hybrid Prius! The bottom line is that we don’t have to spend a ton of money on expensive retail real-estate, it means we can pass on these savings to the customer and ultimately have them walk away with a smile on their face.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
Spread the love.
