Record Breaking Sales figures – Samsung Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge

Just one month after its launch on April 10, it was reported by Counterpoint that Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone sales had reached up to 6 million units. The research group notes that by April 30, the sales of both the S6 and S6 Edge surpassed the entire 2014 record for the Galaxy S5. We at Screen Fix believe that this is a great start for Samsung, and we anticipate the company’s continued success. Counterpoint also notes that the S6 was the most popular smartphone in April, right after Apple’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

Sales data has been compiled based on individual sales rather than shipments. The success of the launch, according to the data, suggests that Samsung has finally recovered from the disappointing sales for the S5 the year prior. The Galaxy S6 was fully accepted by smartphone critics and is expected to gain much more success in the months to come.

Samsung originally stated that the S6 would set a new record in shipments for the company, but we are yet to see actual numbers from Samsung. Unfortunately, the company’s investors have begun to worry about the expected number, probably leading to Samsung’s 7.3% stock drop in May.

Counterpoint’s research director, Peter Richardson, claims that the Galaxy S6 can become the world’s top-selling smartphone if production improves, even surpassing the iPhone 6 series. However, Richardson also notes that the chances for Samsung to achieve this will only get slimmer has time passes without a supply solution, given the current popularity of Apple.

Our Screen Fix Brisbane office agrees with Counterpoint that the S6 can top sales by the end of 2015, it really is an amazing device. This would be tremendous for Samsung, as they would break their own record of 45 million sales the Galaxy S4 achieved.

I tried your suggestions and plugged it into my computer to try to get to itunes page and do a restore, but my computer does not recognize the device. I keep getting an error. This phone has been having charging issues for the past few months and since the update the other night it has this screen. I can hold down the home button and the side button and I get the apple logo, but can go no further.
