*Heat gun/Hair dryer
*Opening picks
*Suction tool
*Flat and pointed-tip spudgers
*Tweezers (Blunt Nose)
*Tape
*Permanent marker

*Screen adhesive strip/pre-cut adhesive for iPhone 15 Pro
What Is the Right Repairing Place For iPhone 15 Pro Battery Replacement
*Choose a spot that is clean and does not have dust. You do not want tiny particles getting inside your phone.
*Make sure the area is well-lit so you can see what you are doing especially the tiny screws and parts.
*Use a balanced, stable, strong, and flat-surfaced table or desk. A flat surface helps prevent everything from slipping or rolling away.
*Have a spot to keep tiny screws and pieces safe. A small container or a magnetic mat works great for this.
*To prevent static electricity from damaging your phone try working on an anti-static mat or wearing a special wrist strap to avoid shocks.
*Pick a place with plenty of air moving around. Ventilation is safer if the battery heats up too much.
*Avoid working near flammable items like papers or fabric just in case the battery causes problems.
*To be extra safe keep a fire extinguisher nearby. Gloves are also helpful for protecting your hands while you work.
Important Safety Reminder
If your phone gets really hot or starts smelling bad don’t try to remove the battery. If it starts to smoke move away anything that can catch fire. Don’t breathe in the smoke and open a window if you can. Batteries can have harmful chemicals that are dangerous if you breathe them in.
Step #1. Preparing iPhone 15 Pro For Disassembling
*Now you are ready with everything to replace the battery of the iPhone 15 Pro.
*To prepare your phone you should first remove all the cables and wires that may be attached to the iPhone.
*Now turn off the iPhone 15 Pro.
Here are the steps to switch off the iPhone 15 Pro.
*Press and hold the button on the right side of your iPhone and one of the Volume buttons on the left side at the same time for a few seconds.
*You should see a power-off slider appear at the top of the screen that says “Slide to power off.”
*Drag the power icon across the screen from left to right to turn off your iPhone.
*Otherwise you can switch off your iPhone 15 Pro from Settings App and get help with Siri.
Please Remember to drain the battery by 25% before starting. A charged battery can catch fire if it is accidentally damaged.
Step #2. Cover The iPhone’s Back Glass and Front With Tape
*This step is not necessary. But if the glass from the front or back has any cracks you need to protect it with tape. Otherwise your phone may get more cracks during repair or its tiny particles may harm you.
*We will create a gap from the bottom area of the phone’s front. So make sure this part has enough space for the suction tool’s application. I mean there should be no damage on that side.
Step #3. Unfasten Two Screws around the Charging Port
*Here you will need a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to unfasten the two screws around the charging port.
*Keep the screws safely aside so that you do not have to face trouble when reassembling.
Step #4. Apply Heat At The Bottom Edge of the iPhone 15 Pro
*It’s time to apply proper heat at the bottom edge of the iPhone 15 Pro.
*You can use a hair dryer instead of a heat gun for this process.
*Give heat until the bottom edge becomes too hot to touch.
*Please be careful while heating because accessive heating harms the battery and could get damaged.
Step #5. Apply A suction Tool
*When you know the phone is hot enough you can apply a suction tool for pulling the screen.
*A suction tool can lift the screen from the bottom edge and create a line gap.
*The adhesive has malted enough and it will lift up easily.
Step #6. Insert an Opening Pick
*When you see a line gap insert an opening pick into it.
*Then you can remove the suction tool from the screen’s bottom edge.
Please note that the opening pick should be marked before being inserted into the screen. Here is how to mark it.
*Measure 3 mm from the tip of the pick then mark it with a permanent marker.
*You can also mark the other edges of the pick with different measurements.
*Another option is to tape a coin to the pick 3 mm away from the tip.
*If you push the opening pick too deep it might harm your device.
Step #7. Slide The Opening Pick To Cut The Adhesive
*As we know we can not insert the opening pick more than 3mm so be careful when you are moving the pick.
*At this stage you are working to separate the bottom edge of the iPhone 15 Pro. You need to move the opening pick back and forth to cut the adhesive.
*Now leave the pick here to prevent sticking the screen again.
Please Note Important Information About the Screen
When you move the opening pick to cut the adhesive securing the screen you should know something very important inside the screen.
*Firstly the screen is connected to the phone by two fragile cables—one located just above the action button and the other cable is near the center of the left side.
*Secondly there are several spring contacts around the edges of the phone. Be careful not to insert your pick too deep in these spots to avoid bending the contacts.
Step #8. Give heat to all edges of the iPhone 15 Pro
*It’s time to give heat to all the edges of your phone.
*Start with the right edge of the iPhone 15 Pro. Keep heating this edge until it gets too hot to touch.
*Then apply heat to the top edge and then left. Feel the screen become too hot to touch.
*This heating process will melt the adhesive securing the screen and make it easier to separate it.
Step #9. Insert the Second Opening Pick Into The Right Edge of The Phone
*Your second opening pick has been inserted. Please slide the pick mentally until you feel the strong stop. As the phone is hot you can easily cut the adhesive without using extra force.
*Also please remember to insert the pick from the bottom right corner and take it toward the power button.
*When you feel the hard stop it is the clip securing the screen.
*Rotate the pick from its pointed side to flat side.
*At the right edge, you cannot insert opening picks more than 5mm.
Step #10. Release The Screen From the First Clip at the Right Side
*At this time the flat side of the pick is inserted. You can use twist-and-turn techniques to create more gaps between the screen and the frame.
*Keep twisting the pick from left and right until the clip releases.
*At this same place insert the third opening pick.
*Now slide the old opening pick and take it to the bottom of the phone. Then move another pick and take it to the top right corner of the phone. This action will cut the adhesive.
*Now leave both the picks here to prevent sticking.
Step #11. Separating Top Edge
*Hold the Opening pick at the top right corner of the phone and slide it toward its top edge.
*Here you will find two slips.
*Slide the pick, twist, and turn it to release the adhesive and two clips.
*Make sure to insert the opening pick only 3mm deep into the top screen.
*Leave the pick at the top left corner.
Step #12. Separating Left Edge
*Now hold the pick from the top left corner and move it to the phone’s left side.
*Please remember that you only allow 2 mm insertion of the opening pick here. Two screen connections are here under the screen.
*Continuously sliding the pick to the bottom left corner.
*That is how you will cut the left edge adhesive and separate the edge carefully.
*This is the time when all the adhesive has cut and you can lift the screen.
Step #13. Prop Up the Screen
*At this stage you can prop up the screen like opening a book cover
*Place a small box or a stack of books next to your phone on the left side to hold the screen up while disconnecting the cables.
*Gently lift the screen’s right side like opening a book’s cover.
*If the screen doesn’t lift easily, use your opening pick to carefully go around the edges again to loosen any remaining adhesive.
*Keep the screen propped up so you can safely reach the cables without putting any pressure on them.
Step # 14. Unfastening Six Screws To Uncover The logic Board
*There are six screws you need to unfasten. Use a Y000 screwdriver. Four screws are 1.6 mm long and two are 1.3 mm long screws.
*Opening these screws will remove the shield securing the logic board of the iPhone.
*Turn the bottom of the logic board cover counterclockwise and gently slide the top left corner out from underneath the ambient light sensor cable to remove it.
*Now the logic board is uncovered.
Step #15. Disconnect the Battery
*As we have removed the logic board cover we can easily see some flex cable connections.
*At the bottom right corner of the logic board is the battery connection.
*Pry it using a flat spudger. You can use the tip of the opening pick.
*With gentle pressure application you will disconnect the battery from the logic board.
*After battery disconnection your iPhone is more secure from accidental damages.
Step #16. Disconnect the Screen Flex Cable Connection
It is time to disconnect the screen.
*Use an opening pick or take a flat-tip spudger and pry it up the screen cable.
*The screen cable is located at the centre of the logic board.
*Apply some pressure and the screen flex cable will get disconnected.
Step #17. Disconnect Ambient Light
*The last cable we need to disconnect to separate the screen from the frame is the screen’s ambient light cable.
*To separate this cable again use the same opening pick and slide its tip into the ambient light connection gently.
*Lift the cable to disconnect it from the logic board.
Step #18. Remove the Screen From The Phone
*Now you can lift the screen and remove it from the frame.
Step #19. Open Loudspeaker’s Screws
*To remove the battery you must also remove the loudspeaker’s assembly.
*The loudspeaker is secure with four screws.
*To open the screws use a #000 Phillips screwdriver.
* The screw at the left side near the “Taptic Engine” is 2.7 mm long.
*Another three screws are 2 mm long screws.
Step #20. Remove The Loudspeaker’s Assembly
*A plastic piece is stuck to the top of both the loudspeaker and the Taptic Engine.
*Gently lift the bottom of the loudspeaker until you can hold it with your fingers.
*Carefully pull the loudspeaker away from the plastic buffer at the top and take it out.
Step #21. Disconnect the Taptic Engine
*After removing the loudspeaker you will see the taptic engine connection.
*Use a pointed-tip spudger to pry up the press cable of the taptic engine.
*Slide the spudger into the cable and disconnect it.
Step #22. Remove Taptic Engine Screws
*For removing the battery we also need to remove the taptic engine.
*It is secure with 2 mm long screws.
*To unfasten the two screws you need to use a #000 Phillips screwdriver.
*Then remove the taptic engine.
Important Information About Adhesive
The battery is stuck to the phone with three sticky strips—two at the bottom and one at the top.
*Each strip has a small black tab that is lightly stuck to the edge of the battery.
*Next you will pull these tabs out from under the battery.
*The strips will stretch and loosen as you pull but they might break before you can get them all out especially the one at the top. If they do break don’t worry! There is another way to remove the battery that will be explained next.
Step #23. Remove the Stretch Release Adhesive
*At the bottom edge of the battery there is an adhesive pull tape.
*Use the tip of an opening pick to unstick an edge of the pull tape.
*Please be careful. Your tools can puncture or dent the battery causing a leak of dangerous chemicals.
*You need to grip the pull tape’s edge. For this purpose you should use blunt nose tweezers.
*Completely unstick the pull tape edges from the battery.
*You have to repeat the same process for another two more pull tapes.
*Pull one of the pull tabs from beneath the battery until you can hold it with your fingers or wrap it around your tool.
*Hold the edges of the frame to keep the phone steady but don’t press down on the battery.
*Gently pull the strip at a low angle, going slowly and evenly making sure not to hit other parts.
*Keep pulling the strip re-gripping or wrapping it around your tool as needed until it’s fully out from under the battery.
*If the strip snaps, try to grab it again. If it’s stuck under the battery and you can’t reach it, just move on to the next step.
*Repeat this process for the other two strips.
Another Way To Remove The Battery
Stretch-release adhesive tapes allow you to remove the battery quickly. If you have successfully completed the above stretching adhesive strap steps it is good because you can remove the battery now. But if not, we can remove the battery without pulling the adhesive tape.
Here you will have to use isopropyl alcohol and a plastic card.
*If the top strip is still stuck lift the top part of the phone a little.
*If one of the bottom strips is still stuck lift the left side of the phone (the side with the volume buttons).
*Use a dropper or syringe to put a few drops of solid rubbing alcohol (90% or more) on the raised edge of the battery.
*Wait one minute so the alcohol can get under the battery and loosen the glue.
Step #24. Pry The Battery Using A Plastic Card
*Pry the battery with a plastic card. Then insert the plastic card between the battery and the phone’s frame.
*Be gentle during insertion.
*Keep trying until the battery’s adhesive is completely unstuck.
*Please note that you are not allowed to bend or crease the battery when trying to remove it from the frame.
*Also be careful not to scratch the frame under the battery—the wireless charging coil is close to the middle and could get damaged.
*The strong adhesive takes some time to loosen. Keep applying the constant pressure for approximately a minute.
Step #25. Remove The Battery
Hold the battery with your hands and remove it from the frame.
Step #26. Installation of the New Battery
*Well it’s time to replace the iPhone 15 Pro’s battery. Take the new installation battery originally made for the iPhone 15 Pro.
*The battery may come with pre-installed stretch-release adhesive. If not we have more alternative options.
*But before anything can be installed the frame needs to be cleaned from where the battery needs to be installed.
*Use a lint-free microfiber cloth to clear the frame and residual adhesive.
Step #27. Check The Battery Temporarily
There is a step before putting on any adhesive. You need to connect the new battery temporarily and place it in its spot to make sure it fits and the cable reaches the socket on the logic board. But don’t connect the battery to the socket until the battery is fully installed.
How To Apply New Stretch Release Adhesive Strips To The Battery
*First of all clean the battery area from the frame. No residual old adhesive should be left. You can use isopropyl alcohol to clean it and rub it with a lint-free cloth piece.
*The Stretch Release Adhesive Strips will applied at the back of the replacement battery.
*Place the stretch-release adhesive strips next to your new battery, with the pull tabs lined up just above the top edge of the battery.
*Use a pen to draw a line on the stretch-release adhesive just a little above the bottom edge of the battery. Cut the adhesive and remove the access part of the adhesive.
*Remove the small pieces of blue film covering the flat ends of the adhesive strips. Remove only the parts over the pull tabs not the whole blue liner.
*Carefully line up the exposed part of the adhesive strips along the front edge of the battery and gently press them down.
*Put the battery face down on a flat surface.
*Starting at the cut end of the adhesive strips, peel off the large blue film covering them.
*If it’s hard to peel off use tweezers to help lift the blue layer near the cut part of the adhesive.
*Roll the adhesive stick over the battery with your finger and then lay the strip down flat on the back of the battery.
*Peel the remaining part of the plastic sheet and expose the adhesive strips fully. The stretch-release adhesive strips application is being done now.
You can use thin double tape to secure the battery if you don’t have stretch-release adhesive strips.
Step #28. Set Replacement Battery In the iPhone 15 Pro
At this stage you can set the new battery at its place.
Press the battery to fit it correctly into the place and secure it with frame.
Step #29. Reassemble the Taptic Engine
Place the Taptic Engine correctly in its place.
*Check the screw holes and secure them by fastening the two 2 mm long the screws.
*Now connect the Taptic Engine’s press connector.
Step #30. Reinstall the Loudspeaker
*Place the loudspeaker into its place correctly.
*Make sure all the screw holes are correctly visible.
*Secure with one 2.7 mm long screw that will go into the top left side of the speaker near the Taptic Engine. And remaining three are 2 mm long screws.
Step #31. Reinstallation of iPhone 15 Pro’s Screen
*Now we are reassembling the the screen of the iPhone 15 Pro.
*First of all you have to clean the old adhesive from the frame and screen.
*For this you can use a lint-free cloth and also apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol.
*Be very careful with spring connectors while cleaning the frame.
*Apply a new adhesive strip on the frame. Correctly align the adhesive and peel off the blue sheet.
*Now it’s time to connect all the connectors. Firstly connect the screen’s ambient cable connector.
*Connect the screen cable to the logic board.
*And then lastly connect the battery cable.
*To reconnect a press connector, line it up with the socket and gently press down on one side until it clicks. Then press down on the other side. Make sure it’s flat, as the rubber around the socket can stop it from connecting correctly.
Step #32. Reassemble the Logic Board Cover
*It’s time to connect the logic board cover. Please remember the top left corner of the cover goes under the ambient light sensor cable.
*Fasten six screws to secure the logic board cover.
Step #33. Align the Screen on the Frame
*Now correctly align the screen on the frame.
*Press it with your fingers so that the adhesive sticks strongly between the frame and the screen.
Step #34. Fasten Pentalobe Screws
*Now fasten the pantalob screws.
*Two 7 mm screws arount the charging jack.
Step #35. Charge Your iPhone 15 Pro
*Its time to check your phone.
*Plugin the wired charger or magsafe charger. Wait for few minutes and see if the phone is getting charge as it should be.
